10/04/2019 - FOOTBALL: Southwest Rolls Past Omaha Benson

By Lincoln Prep Sports Staff

From the opening kick of the game Friday night, the Lincoln Southwest football team was running on all cylinders.
Chase Holm's kickoff return of 56 yards helped set up the first scoring drive, as the Silver Hawks kept Omaha Benson winless in a 50-0 victory at Seacrest Field.
Holm's kick return to the Bunny 36 yard line set up an 8-play drive capped off by Telo Arsiaga's 15-yard touchdown run to put Southwest up early 7-0.  The Silver Hawk defense helped with the next scoring drive.  A bad snap on a Benson punt helped set up a touchdown pass from Laken Harnly to Dakota Harders for a 14-0 Southwest lead.
The Silver Hawks (4-2) went up 21-0 at the end of the first quarter after Grant Miller ran for a 31-yard touchdown.  Southwest's next touchdown came on a 14-yard pass from Harnly to Matthew Rink for a 28-0 halftime advantage.
Defensively, Southwest stymied Benson's offense to only 18 yards passing and -39 yards on the ground.
The Silver Hawks led the Bunnies 35-0 after three quarters.
