- BOYS BASKETBALL: East Goes Overtime To Edge Kearney

Class A No. 10 Lincoln East had to go overtime to earn a 55-47 victory Friday night over Kearney at the East Gym.
It was sophomore reserve guard Carter Glenn who helped the Spartans rally in the fourth quarter and overtime, by scoring 12 points. Glenn, who had been dealing with the flu, scored twice on a pair of layups in the final minute of regulation.
East (3-0) tied the game at 42 off a Connor Rieckenberg three-pointer with 10 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. Rieckenberg finished with 11 points for the Spartans.
Glenn came to the rescue again for East. He put the Spartans ahead with a minute remaining in overtime, then nailed four free throws for a 53-47 lead. Peyton Stoppel added two free throws to seal the win.
Jett Janssen scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds for East.
Liberty recruit Shiloh Robinson had 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead Kearney in the losing effort.
