- FOOTBALL: Millard South Rumbles Past Lincoln East
By LincolnPrepSports.com Staff
Eighth-ranked Millard South continues to be the hottest team in Class A football and didn't let the wet weather spoil their streak on Friday afternoon, as the Patriots earned a 38-7 win over Lincoln East at Seacrest Field.
The Patriots (5-2) have won in Lincoln three times, twice at Seacrest Field this season (Southeast and now East) and at Pius X.
Millard South was stopped by the East defense on their first drive of the game, but bounced back to score on four of their next five possessions. Sophomore running back Isaiah Harris ran for a 26-yard touchdown, then quarterback Andy Reel threw touchdown passes of 6-yards to Collin Wolfe.
After an interception, Reel threw a 29-yard scoring strike to DaQwuain Glass and Spencer Stenger caught a 32-yard touchdown pass to make it 28-0 Patriots at the half.
East (2-5) scored in the fourth quarter when senior quarterback Jaden Roe threw a 37-yard touchdown pass to Elliott Alexander.
