Omaha Central got put to the test Saturday night when they faced the Lincoln Southwest boys basketball team.

The Class A No. 7 Eagles found themselves down five points entering the fourth quarter and outscored the Silver Hawks 35-13 in the final period to earn a 75-58 victory at Southwest High School.

Central (15-5) trailed 45-40 entering the fourth quarter and was down 47-43 when Roman Behrens converted on a three point play, as part of his game-high 26 points, to pull the Eagles to within one with 6:50 left.

Jakrobi Pal then scored off a tip in on the next Central possession before Collin Kohl scored on the other end to give Southwest a 49-48 advantage.

Central's 6-9 center Isaiah Poor Bear Chandler then connected on a pair of free throws, then Behrens answered with a fade away basket on the next possession.

A Jacob Dowd free throw closed the Southwest deficit to three, before Poor Bear Chandler sank two free throws to extend the Central lead to 54-50.  He then added a three-point play, after getting an offensive rebound and put back to extend the Eagles' lead to seven.  Poor Bear Chandler finished with 17 points.

Southwest pulled to within five, 57-52, with four minutes left after Kohl sank a pair of free throws.

Central got three more free throws and led 60-52 with 3:23 to play.  Trevor Bogle hit two free throws for Southwest to close the gap to six, the closest they could get the rest of the game.

The Eagles used a 15-4 run to end the game, sparked by a Behrens basket.

Southwest (7-14) had a handle on the third quarter, behind Kohl's outside shooting.  He scored a team-high 20 points, including 14 in the period, while helping the Silver Hawks their biggest lead of the night at 45-36 before Central's late run.

Trevor Bogle added 15 points for Southwest.  Jordan Flowers scored 13 points to help round out Central's high scoring effort.
