By Kellan Heavican
Omaha Bryan sprinted out to an 11-0 lead to open the game and never looked back as they defeated Lincoln High 79-62 on Saturday evening at the Earl Johnson Activities Building.
Morgan Perry finally scored the opening basket from beyond the arc with 4:27 left. Perry only finished with 11. But the Links (5-9) climbed within 6 at the break, trailing 29-23.
The Bears (6-6) would not score until 3:59 left in the third period Javden Udofia hit a pair of free throws to cool the Links attack, which had been pulled within two possessions.
Bryan would close the final moments outscoring Lincoln High 33 to 24, with 14 coming from the foul line. Udofia led Bryan with 26 points and William Worthington added 19.
Outside of Perry, the Links saw a pair of 16-point performances from Jaylin Hunter and Jihad Muhammad.
