09/16/2016 - FOOTBALL: Top-ranked Omaha North Dismantles No. 8 Lincoln Southeast

By Kellan Heavican

Omaha North used a trio of running backs to dismantle the Lincoln Southeast  Knights 42-0 Friday afternoon at Seacrest Field.

In a battle of Class A Top 10 teams, Omaha North (4-0) flexed its muscles bolting out to a 28-0 first quarter lead.  Jordan Strong scored twice and Milton Sargbah scored on a 80-yard touch down run.  The quarter ended on a Jack Strong pick six as Davon Wells-Ross ran it back from 47 yards.

The Knights (3-1) struggled to break through the Viking defense.  Southeast’s best scoring chance came on their second possession, but missed a 33-yard field goal.  Strong threw three interceptions and they only gained 55 yards on the ground.

Omaha North capped the scoring with a 2-yard touchdown run from Zander Gray and then Sargbah added six more on a 55-yard run.  The Vikings led 42-0 early in the third quarter.

Strong finished the day with 118 yard through the air, but the Vikings owned the ground game, gaining 304 yards.
