Elkhorn then took control 57-55 on a three-pointer from Weston Behlen with 32 seconds left. After a Waverly timeout, the Vikings then went to Schneider, who buried the game-winning three pointer with 14 seconds left.
With a chance to score, Elkhorn guard Noah Moreano drove the length of the floor and missed a layup before Waverly senior center Austin Wubbels grabbed the rebound and was fouled with 3.3 seconds to play.
Austin Wubbels missed both free throws and as Elkhorn was working to get the ball up court, Schneider intercepted the pass to secure a Viking win.
Tanner Wubbels added 13 points for Waverly, while Austin Wubbels finished with 10 points.
Elkhorn was led by Neil's 21 points, while Witecy added 15 points and Behlen finished with 10.
