- From The Press Box: District Hoops Are Here, Hats Off To Area Wrestlers
Well, post-season basketball is here.
Yes, another season is almost over and the best part is yet to come.
We know that Lincoln High will be the No. 1 seed of a Class A district, while Norfolk squeaked by Lincoln Northeast on Friday to stay undefeated and have the overall No. 1 seed.
If Norfolk were to lose at any point in district play, they automatically would clinch a berth into the Class A State Boys Basketball Tournament. Everyone else would have to win out to get to state, including Lincoln High and Northeast.
District pairings for Class A and Class B will be released Tuesday morning. We'll have the brackets posted.
Class C1 subdistrict pairings are out and the C1-3 has Lincoln Lutheran as the No. 1 seed, playing Raymond Central Tuesday night at Waverly. The other semifinal has Malcolm and Lincoln Christian. We plan to bring you that subdistrict championship on Thursday night.
Lincoln High girls vs. Omaha Bryan in the A-1 play-in game will be on our schedule Tuesday night.
Check back later for more "From The Press Box."
