I don't declare myself superstitious on many things, except baseball where you don't ever leave the bats crossed or never walk under ladders.
This past Friday, thinking that everything was set and ready to go for our two broadcasts, comes bad luck.
The phone feed from Seacrest Field for the Lincoln Northeast/Lincoln High game was set up and ready to go, but our crew got disconnected and missed the first half. We got halftime and the second half of the game on the stream but our commercial machine (i.e. iPod) was not coming threw one channel and couldn't be heard.
I'll blame the gremlins this time. Anyway, the game was heard in its entirety in the second half by those of you who were concerned about not getting the feed on your computer.
Our second game at NWU's Abel Stadium could not dial out on the main telephone line in the booth and resulted to a cellphone back up, which worked, kind of.
The wrong cable was used and made it sound like our announcers were standing away from the phone in the back part of the booth. Once again, Friday the 13th strikes again!
I apologize for any inconvenience and promise everything will be back to normal for next weekend's games.
With that said........
We have added another feature game of the week this Friday. We will provide the Lincoln Southeast/Omaha Creighton Prep football game at 7pm on LincolnPrepSports.com. It will NOT be available through the mobile feed, but direct feed from the site will have the game.
Our mobile feed will carry Omaha Burke/Lincoln Northeast from Seacrest Field at the same time. We'll remind you on our Facebook and Twitter pages through the course of the week.
