Lincoln Lutheran Warriors
Head Coach: Lyle Ziems (16th year)
Career Record:73-70
2012 Record: 4-5

Returning starters: Harrison Martin 5-11, 145, Jr.; Adam Kohlmeier 5-8, 145, Sr.; Benjamin Schmeling 5-7, 150, Jr.; Josh Leymaster 6-0, 190, Jr.; Max McCoy 5-11, 150, So.; Scott Wineman 5-9, 170, Jr.; Connor McCoy 5-9, 160, Sr.; Jacob Green 6-0, 190, Sr.; Nolan Schad 5-9, 160, So.; Tanner Wachal 6-3, 200, Sr.; Garett Wachal 6-1, 190, So.; Koby Hruza 6-1, 190, Jr.

Other letterwinners/newcomers: Elijah Kouma 5-9, 140, Jr.; Luke Hamann 5-11, 160, So.; Dylan Brockhaus 6-0, 165, So.; Ashton Rabbe 5-10, 165, Jr.; Jake Killham 6-1, 185, So.

Coach Ziems' Season Outlook: "Last year's squad included a number of kids who could burst for big plays -- especially through
the air (Marshall Oetting, Micah Oetting, Connor DeBusk). However, the 2012 team was very
inexperienced in the line. In contrast, the 2013 team returns starters (at least part-time) at every
O-line position, but lacks returning depth at the back and receiver positions. Who will carry the
mail for us this fall is wide open. It would appear that junior Elijah Kouma and sophomore Jake
Killham will be battling for the starting QB job. Junior Benjamin Schmeling is the most
experienced returning running back. There are several starters returning in the offensive line but that experience is very young -- three of those young men started as freshmen last year (Garett Wachal, Max McCoy, and Nolan Schad). At the end of the day, making prediction of how the Warriors will fair in 2013 is a bit of a mystery."

Key games: 9-20 at Raymond Central, 9-27 vs. Falls City, 10-11 at Lincoln Christian, 10-25 vs. Syracuse.
