- Hill, Blankenau combine for 46 points in win over North Star

It could have been called the Matt Hill and Alek Blankenau show Friday night at the Prasch Activities Center, as Lincoln Southeast cruised to an 81-59 victory against Lincoln North Star in a intra-city boys basketball matchup. Both Hill and Blankenau combined for 46 points, with each scoring 23 a piece in the Knights victory that improved Southeast to 8-2 on the year. Blankenau nailed five three-pointers and nailed eight free throws, while Hill dominated the inside game, scoring 14 of his 23 points in the second half. Reserve postman Mike Masin scored 10 points off the bench for the Knights. Southeast led 20-14 after the first quarter and increased the lead to 38-26 at halftime.
The Knights then outscored the Gators 23-12 in the third quarter enroute to their 81-59 win. North Star's Tyler Bullock had another impressive performance offensively, finishing with 20 points to lead the Gators in the losing effort. Cordera Thompson added 13 points for North Star, who fell to 3-8 on the season.
