Trailing most of the game against a very good CSS team from Nebraska, it came down to end very end. With the game tied at 41 a piece, the Bison had the ball with seconds left on the clock. Travis Ahrens from Wahoo Bishop Neumann drove to the basket and missed but Tanner Morton from LSE got the rebound and made the put back as the horn sounded. This game featured some up and coming talented players from both teams as two teams from the state Nebraska was in the Elite Eight. The Bison is on to the Final Four that will be played on the campus of Wichita State University.

Trailing by as much as 12 pts. in the first half to a very athletic team from Louisiana. the Bison fought back to only trail by 5 at the half behind some 3 point shooting from Brady Barrett and Max Ritchie. The 3 point barrage continued in the second half as Nigel Stephenson, Jalen Bradley, Travis Ahrens help bring the Bison to actually lead the game by 5 with 5 minutes left to play. But the Rockets went on an 8-0 runs and made their free throws down the stretch and handed the Bison their first loos of the tournament. John Harris Jr. lead the way with 10 pts. as Travis Ahrens finished with 8. The loss puts the Bison in the 3rd place game against the Wichita, KS Eagles.

In another nail biter, the Bison finished 3rd in the MAYB National Championship the high for any Bison entered in the event. This game was an up hill battle for the Bison as the Eagles jumped out to a 19-3 lead in the first half. But adjusting their full court press to counter the Eagles' quickness they only trailed by 7 at the half. In the second half John Harris Jr, Jordan Schroer and Garrett Borcher all had key buckets to keep the Bison in the game. Trailing by one point with seconds left in the game, the Bison once again would need a last second shot to win. On his 15th Birthday Schroer hit a baseline jump shot as time expired and the Bison finished 3rd by going 8-1 for the tournament. The Bison Select finishes the summer with a 21-8 record.

Led by the hot 3 point shooting of Brady Barrett from Adams Central, who finished with a game high 15 pts, and an aggressive full court press. The team from Nornan, OK was never in the game. For the fourth straight game the Bison made 6 or more shots beyond the arch as Barrett made 3 of those against the Elite. They are currently 4-0 in tournament and will now advance to the round of 32.

A balanced inside and outside game fueled the Bison to their 5 straight victory of the tournament. This time it was Conner Beranek  from Ravenna with 2-3's and 10 pts.and Max Ritchie from Nebraska City who also had 2-3's while finishing with 9 pts. doing the damage from beyond the arch as John Harris Jr. from Lincoln High controlled the inside game by finishing with 10 pts. The Monarchs did not have an answer to the Bison's full court pressure and never made the game close.

In their toughest game so far in the tournament, the Bison moves on to the Elite Eight with a 9 point win over the team from Cedar rapids, IA. Some clutch free throw shooting by Nigel Stephenson from Waverly and Brady Barrett from Adams Central in the closing minutes helped ice the game. Both Stephenson and Barrett finished with 10 points as for the first time in the tournament the Bison struggled from the field on making 2 shots from beyond the arch. But they did make their free throws and finished 14 for 20 from the line as a team.

The Bison Select hit the floor running in their first game of the Nationals which feature 65 teams from 14 states in their division. Led by the first half shooting from Jalen Bradley from Norfolk who finished with 13 pts. and the second half scoring from Jordan Schroer from Lincoln Northeast who also had 13 pts., the Bison cruised to their first victory of the tournament.

In the second game of pool play the Bison went to their inside game to control a very hard fought and physical contest. Joe Jasnowski from Creighton Prep had a game high 12 pts. followed by Jordan Schroer from Lincoln Northeast with 9 pts. and Tanner Morton from Lincoln Southeast who finished with 8 pts. The current win streak for the Bison sits at 7.

MO-KAN Premiere........................31
The Bison earned the #1 seed in their pool by defeating the MO-KAN team which features players from both Missouri and Kansas. Played late in the evening and in an non-air conditioned game both teams struggled to get going but long range shooting from Jalen Bradley 3-3 pointers and Conner Beranek who had 2-3's. As a team the Bison finished 7 for 10 from beyond the arch and 8 for 10 from the free throw line. The Bison will now advance to the round of 64 in their division.
